Download and install KeisenVPA on macOS or Windows
Download
KeisenVPA is a standalone desktop application. Choose the version for your platform:
macOS
Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3/M4) Intel (2015-2020)Not sure which to choose? Apple Silicon Macs were released starting November 2020.
System Requirements

macOS Installation
Step 1: Download the DMG
Download the appropriate DMG file for your Mac:
- Apple Silicon — For M1, M2, M3, M4 Macs (November 2020 and later)
- Intel — For Intel-based Macs (2015-2020)
Step 2: Open the DMG
Double-click the downloaded .dmg file. A window will open showing the KeisenVPA app and an Applications folder shortcut.
Step 3: Drag to Applications
Drag the KeisenVPA icon to the Applications folder. This installs the app on your system.
Step 4: Launch the app
Open KeisenVPA from your Applications folder or use Spotlight (Cmd+Space, type "KeisenVPA").
Granting Permissions
KeisenVPA needs access to your microphone for voice recording. When prompted:
- Click "Allow" when macOS asks for microphone access
- If you accidentally denied access, go to System Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone and enable KeisenVPA
Windows Installation
Step 1: Download the installer
Download the Windows installer (.exe file) from the link above.
Step 2: Run the installer
Double-click the downloaded file. If Windows Defender SmartScreen shows a warning:
- Click "More info"
- Click "Run anyway"
Step 3: Follow the prompts
The installer will guide you through the installation. The default options work for most users.
Step 4: Launch KeisenVPA
Find KeisenVPA in your Start menu or use the desktop shortcut (if you chose to create one).
Uninstalling
macOS
Drag KeisenVPA from your Applications folder to the Trash. To remove settings and data:
- Delete
~/Library/Application Support/KeisenVPA - Delete
~/Library/Preferences/com.keisen.vpa.plist
Windows
Use "Add or Remove Programs" in Windows Settings, or run the uninstaller from the Start menu.
